Watermelons

Do you know why the watermelon is a symbol of Palestinian resistance? It's because Israel made it illegal to display the Palestinian flag. The watermelon has the same colors, so it was a way around the prohibition. Israel has gone so far as to ban the use of the colors red, green, and black in art. They're also rumored to have arrested people just for carrying sliced watermelons.

As person of Jewish descent whose great grandparents escaped Nazi Germany, I believe that never again means never again for everyone. Free Palestine.

All my prints are printed on high quality heavy cardstock. They ship in a protective plastic sleeve to make sure they get to their destination in pristine condition.
